C.S. Lewis Part II- Narnia: the movie

Tim and I went and saw Narnia last weekend and LOVED IT! The storyline was as close to the book as we could remember (I read the book when I was 10 or so, so my memory wasn’t the best!).
It was interesting to see our reaction after the movie to the lack of gore in the fighting scenes. After all the Lord of the Rings, etc, the nonexistent blood was refreshing.
Definitely a good kids movie. There are startle points though, so it all depends on how easily your kids scare.
The animation of Aslan was great (and the rest of the characters), he looked like a real lion. Most reaction I heard said that the director kept the Christ aspect in the movie and he really did. You almost have a Passion of the Christ moment when Aslan goes to be killed in place of Edmond.
So not being a professional movie reviewer I would say it’s worth the trip to the theater (maybe even twice!)
