Lots of hard work!!

Today Tim and I worked the hardest we ever have, ON OUR YARD! This morning after we took Puddle to her second training class, we started on our yard. See, right now we are trying to sell our house, it’s just way too big for us so we’d like to downsize a little. Last summer we remodeled the main floor, but we’ve never done really anything to the yard.

Our house has been on the market for a month and a half and you know what the main complaint is? Not the colors in the house, not the ugly brown carpet upstairs, not the paneling in the basement, but the YARD! We understand the people, the house is priced right for the inside, but we don’t have “perfect landscaping” to move right in.

So, today we recruited our friend Cactus (that’s really his nickname) and Tim’s family and we all pruned bushes, raked, repaired our fence, mowed the lawn, and cut down tons of baby trees that are going in the “garden”. I didn’t know how much was actually back there until today!

Now we are going to Old Chicago’s and having Pizza as a reward (and payment for Cactus- single friends are the cheapest labor!)

I think I’ll take a bath tonight.

Isn’t yard work so time consuming!? But, there are nice results! I bet it looks great – and am sure you feel good having it done!
